| Dear,
Tonight I'm looking back, looking ahead, and looking in. When I think about the past, how things were or how I was, and I look at myself and life now, I feel amazed at His grace.
There are just so many things I feel happy and thankful about. Meeting and getting to know and spend time with Q. Closeness of family relationships. Starting a new career. Having a church body that I can grow and fellowship with. Having friends in my life that accept me. Still walking with the Lord.
I could not have asked for a better place in life to be beginning my thirties from. Not that I have it figured out or that it's all perfect. I still struggle. Sometimes I still feel hurt at being left out or rejected. Sometimes I still feel unsure. Sometimes I still feel shy and awkward. Sometimes I still feel like a child.
I want to love like He's loved me and show grace like He's shown to me. That's what I'm looking forward to. Surrendering more and more to Him and in doing so realizing the freedom to do just that.
Enjoying today and looking forward to tomorrow, Alice

 - Found a new great pizza place in Chicago...not sure if I'm telling where it is though. I want it all to myself!
- Started to learn how to drive stick...still learning.
- Ate Pinkberry!
 - Actually had a chance to read a few non law books: The Road, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Devil in the White City.
- Ate at a real steak house, finally!
- Went to an opera
- Enjoyed lots of live music
- Rediscovered the joy of a really good deli sandwich at Maize & Blue

| It's over.
You captured my heart and imagination from the moment we met. I watched you grow and you were with me through birthdays, graduations, jobs... In my mind I knew it couldn't last forever, but in my heart, I hoped it would.
I just finished the last Harry Potter. <sigh>

| It's not over yet but so far Summer of Alice has not disappointed.
- Learn more Korean - check.
- Read a whole fiction book - check.
- Have more fun - check.
Seriously, though, I feel so thankful for this summer and just having time again to enjoy the people and places around me. It's been blessing after blessing. I don't know why I have been so blessed, must be grace.
"Yesterday", in a nutshell:
- I researched part time for one of my professors and worked in our law school's asylum clinic. I'm actually considering litigation now...we'll see though.
- Finally got to hang out more with NCPC peeps - golf, volleyball, softball, and lots of food!
- Read Mansfield Park.
- And the biggest blessing of the summer is that someone new and special is in my life.
"Today", in a nutshell:
- Currently interviewing on campus, things are going pretty good, no complaints.
- Trying to improve my guitar playing by expanding beyond just strumming. ;)
- Packing packing packing!
"Tomorrow", in a nutshell:
- Awesome class schedule - no class Thursday and Friday and I start no earlier than 9:50am on M - W.
- New digs in E. Lakeview. I'm right on Lakeshore with a view of the harbor and a warm southern exposure.
- Starting Women's Discipleship Ministry at NCPC. I'm really looking forward to getting to know the women in my group and growing with them.
- And hopefully sooner than later, a job lined up for next summer.
"...by the grace of God I am what I am and His grace to me was not without effect..."
